If you will bookmark this site and check it regularly, you will begin to see that a lot of good takes place at Holston Home. We are proud of our long history of caring for children, and for the work that goes on here, quietly, every day.

We believe ministering to children and families is a high calling, and for most of us at Holston Home, the work is much more than a job. It is our personal ministry.

An essential part of our ministry is reaching out to others to involve them in caring for children. We seek your prayers and welcome your financial support as well as your partnership to help us continue to make a difference in the lives of children and families who turn to us for help.

We believe the following, which we have adopted as our Mission Statement:

Holston Home is a Christian ministry providing hope and healing for children and families struggling with life's challenges.

That has been the mission of Holston Home since our founding, in 1895, when Mrs. E.E. Wiley, a widow, took in her first homeless child. Now, 112 years later, we're proud to say that this ministry has helped more than 8,000 children.

We couldn't have done it without the support of the people in the churches throughout East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia and Northern Georgia, or the individuals who simply want to reach out to help their hurting brethren -- children and their families -- who need a helping hand.
