Holston United Methodist Home for Children provides hope and healing for a brighter future by sharing the love of Jesus with children and families struggling with life's challenges.
The ministry of Holston Home began in 1895 when a single woman took a step of faith and founded an orphanage in Northeast Tennessee. From those early beginnings, the "Home" has grown to serve more than 325 children and their families on any given day with family service centers located throughout East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
We believe children grow up best in healthy families. Our professional, caring services are focused on keeping families together. When it is necessary for a child to live apart from his or her family, we provide quality, compassionate care and remain focused on getting the child and family reunited.
"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." - Jeremiah 29:11
