The social worker is responsible to the program director for carrying out the functions of family assessment, family support, and intervention to enable children to have permanence in the most family like setting as quickly as possible. The social worker, in conjunction with the family and DCS, develops, monitors, and assures the implementation of the individualized service plan and plan of care. The social worker provides counseling and case management to youth in foster care, to birth parents and foster parents.
Requirements: Master’s degree preferred in social services that is license eligible, commitment to empowerment of families, competency in case management and therapeutic services.
