Become a Foster Parent
Holston United Methodist Home for Children partners with loving, Christian families who feel called to provide love, support, encouragement and a temporary home for children who have experienced trauma, teenagers, sibling groups, and children with medical concerns.
Our Family Support System
Our families undergo background checks, a home study, and extensive training prior to becoming an approved foster home. Once a family is approved, we provide ongoing monthly training and support. When a child is placed in the home, the foster family is partnered with a Child & Family Specialist, a Foster Parent Support Specialist and additional staff who are available night or day to help with any need. Respite care is available to provide families a break from the demands of being a foster parent. Our foster parents receive a generous monthly reimbursement to offset their expenses in providing care for the children placed in their home.
