Iris Harvest School – Staff

If you have graduated from one of our Harvest Schools, you are invited to apply for a staff position at Iris Harvest School. As a staff member, you play a vital role in shaping the Harvest School experience. You will wear many hats, take on various responsibilities, and help create an environment where students can grow in their faith and calling. Your leadership, service, and heart for missions will set the tone for students. Below are some of the key expectations for all staff:

Leadership & Responsibilities

Each staff member will lead an Extended Outreach at the end of the school. Details on
outreach options will be sent upon acceptance.
● Color Group Leaders will oversee all Color Group activities, including in-school
outreaches, weekend outreaches, and preparing a missionary presentation with their
team.
● Live-in House Leaders will provide pastoral care for students, conduct one-on-one
meetings, and complete evaluations for their house members.
● Staff will complete evaluations for students in their House Group, Color Group, and In-
School and Extended Outreach teams.
● Attendance at all Mission School classes is required, except for scheduled time off or
specific school duties.
● Staff will facilitate book reviews and lead discussions.

Heart & Attitude

● Flexibility and adaptability are crucial, as schedules and school activities may shift.
● Staff should be self-motivated and take full ownership of assigned responsibilities.
● Punctuality and reliability are essential.
● Be willing to step outside your comfort zone and take on new challenges.
● Expect long hours but also a dedicated full day of rest each week.
● Model a laid-down life, prioritizing love, humility, and respect for the nationals and their
culture.
● Stay spiritually engaged, keeping your heart on fire for God so others can catch the
flame.
● Foster healthy team relationships, walking in humility, grace, honor, and sacrificial love
with fellow staff members.
● Be a blessing to Iris missionaries, national leaders, pastors, and children.
● Demonstrate loving confrontation when needed, addressing challenges with wisdom
and care.
● Be prepared to take initiative and problem-solve, balancing leadership with following
directions.
● Ready to pray, prophesy, and minister to students and staff during class ministry
times.

Practical Commitments

  • Staff are responsible for funding and arranging their own flights to and from the school location, as well as any in-school or extended outreach travel.
  • Accommodation and meals are provided. Staff are not required to pay tuition.
  • A smartphone with WhatsApp is required for communication. Staff are responsible for purchasing a working SIM card and phone credit.
  • Bringing a laptop is highly recommended for completing student evaluations.
  • To maintain a high standard of integrity, staff must abstain from alcohol and smoking during their time with Harvest School.
  • Staff are expected to uphold all student guidelines as outlined in the student manual.
  • We are asking for Harvest School Staff that can commit to serving with us for two consecutive schools and lead an outreach after each school.

Above all, we seek to model Jesus in all we do, creating an atmosphere where students can thrive, encounter God, and grow in their calling. Thank you for your heart to serve and lead with love!

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.”
